I grew up in Tijuana, and I went to Canada to study Cell Biology. I have been in NYC for about a year. Currently, I am a research assistant at Rockefeller University. The goal of my project is to design an animal model to study HIV infection. This is important because it will allow scientist to test antiretroviral drugs and vaccines in monkeys instead of humans.
My dream is to become a University Professor: to run a lab focused on the diseases that affect the Third World, regardless of economic profitability.

This boy is weird. He is definitely in need of dishes and cutlery. After spending last year borrowing my dinner plate, iI finallytook pity on him and decided to give him my favorite blue mug. May it serve him well at Harvard.
I never quite understood his obsession with rather strange looking women, however. The Oslen twins. Honestly.
But Cesar is a great friend as long as you never make fun of his reading abilities. :) He likes M&M's, hockey pucks, my dinner plate, and well, pizza by delivery. O-o and he has reflexes like lightning.
He'll become a good scientist one day, extremely dedicated to study and work -you can should the looks he gives to his biochem book. I cannot believe how much he has grown in this three years in Alberta. Also a great friend, has never turned back for the past decade... always hang out with him when I go back to TJ. Sometimes he can be a little bit extreme in the good way, but usually famous personalities are radical in one or other way. Hope to see you completing your Ph.D., hopefully my lab will be hopefully collaborating (or competing) with yours (although I'm into a somewhat different field).
Cesar is just about the smartest guy I have ever met and will probably never meet anyone smarter. He just goes to class and doesnt write notes and voila! He fails by getting a 99%. Damn! I am soo jealous of this guy. He has so much going on in his life from research to volunteering at a 100 places to taking full course load but somehow he still finds time to eat pizza and stalk girls. Anyway, he is an Albert Einstein wanna-be. But he finally cut that hair which had HSV growing in it from research. Dont forget me when you win that Nobel Prize. And we better start making plans of summer 2005 in NY at Rockefeller. He plays the piano so goooooddddd He is a lot of fun to hang out with because he has crazy things to talk about but when he talks about his love for microorganisms, his sexy latino accent spices even that up. Hehehe!!! He walks like he owns the world. He loves pizza and BK. I get sick of it just looking at him eat it so much. He is single and one of the most eligible bachelors ... in the world.
hmmmm....what can i say about césar? he's mexican, intelligent and fun to hang around with. haven't actually seen him with my own eyes for nearly 2 years since he hasn't made a trip to the island yet...but i think he's looking well...or at least any sickness he may have hasn't inhibited his msn typing abilities...;) chat with you later césar, God Bless
